Hormone Therapy Tailored to Your Labs

Hormones influence energy, mood, sleep, metabolism and more. When levels change with age or health conditions, your provider may recommend hormone therapy based on your symptoms and lab results.

Understanding Your Options

What to Know About Hormone Replacement Therapy

What are bioidentical hormones?

Bioidentical hormones have the same molecular structure as the hormones your body makes, such as estradiol, estriol, progesterone and testosterone. Compounding allows these to be combined and dosed to match a specific prescription.

Estrogen and progesterone

Estrogens support bone, skin, temperature regulation and vaginal health. Progesterone balances estrogen's effects on the uterus and may support sleep. Ratios and strengths are set by your provider.

Testosterone

Testosterone matters for both men and women, affecting energy, libido, muscle and mood. Women typically use much smaller doses than men.

Thyroid support

The thyroid sets your metabolic pace. Providers may prescribe T4, T3 or combinations in custom strengths when standard doses don't fit.

Why Compounding

Medication Made for One Patient: You

Custom strengths

Doses that commercial products don't offer, so your provider can start low and adjust in small steps.

Dosage forms

Fewer additives

Formulas prepared without dyes, gluten, lactose or other fillers when you have a sensitivity or allergy.

Combinations

Common dosage forms: Creams, capsules, troches (dissolving lozenges) and injectables.

FAQ

Common Questions

How is my dose decided?

Your provider uses your symptoms, history and lab work to choose a starting dose, then adjusts it at follow-up visits.

Which form is best?

It depends on the hormone and your needs. Creams avoid swallowing pills, troches absorb through the cheek, and injections are dosed less often.

Is monitoring required?

Yes. Periodic labs and check-ins help your provider keep therapy safe and effective.
